About this coloring page
Deep under the ground, below the tree roots, a groundhog sleeps curled into a tight ball. This is where it spends the whole winter, and our free Groundhog Day coloring pages would not be complete without the burrow itself. Color the soil in browns, the roots a darker shade and the sleeping groundhog a soft tan. Kids can add little stones in the soil or a pile of leaves for a bed. When the nap is over, the groundhog standing on a tree stump shows what happens next. A good page for a quiet evening before the holiday.
