About this coloring page
Nine numbered pictures show how to make a paper snowflake on this sheet of paper snowflakes templates. Print a template from this set and cut out the square. Fold it in half along the diagonal to get a big triangle, then fold that triangle in half to get a smaller one. Next, fold the left part of the triangle back along the line, then the right part, so you have a narrow, layered wedge. Cut off the ends that stick out at the top, cut away the dark areas of the pattern with small sharp scissors, and gently unfold it: a six-pointed lacy snowflake appears, like the one in picture nine. Plain printer paper folds best. Younger children need an adult to help with the scissors. Hang your snowflakes in a window, and for a calm break after cutting, colour the two doves on our Valentine coloring pages.
