About this coloring page
Many butterflies overlap on this hard butterfly coloring page for adults, laid over a patchwork of pattern squares. Each wing is filled with a different zentangle design: dots, zigzags, scallops, triangles, little wavy lines and big spots. Behind them the background is cut into blocks of checks, basket weave, grids and spirals, with a square maze in the top corner. Pick a small palette and repeat it, or give each butterfly its own colour, and leave some background blocks white so the wings stand out. Fine liners help in the tiny sections. More detailed designs are on the printable butterfly coloring pages for adults.
